Easter Cooking Games
Making Chocolate – Making chocolates for Easter is a great
activity for kids. First, you will need to go to your local craft store
and pick up some Easter appropriate chocolate molds. You can also pick
up some other accessories while you are there, such as sticks for
chocolate pops or decorative boxes to display your treats. Then, you
will want to get some colored chocolates. You can also find these at a
craft store or a specialty chocolate shop.
Once you have your supplies, you and your kids can get started. To
begin, melt the chocolate in the microwave or a double-boiler. Then,
pour the melted chocolate into the molds. To create more complicated
treats, you can “paint” colored chocolate into a mold’s design first,
and then fill the rest in with a single color. When your mold is full,
place it in the freezer for 30 minutes to solidify.
Edible Baskets – This is a simple treat kids love to make. To
start, you will need vanilla or pudding (pre-made or from a mix), cookie
crumbs, green sprinkles, and jelly beans. Mix the pudding and cookie
crumbs together in a bowl. Then, pour the mixture into small cups or
tiny basket treat holders. Next, add the green sprinkles on top of the
pudding to make “grass.” To finish, add some jelly bean “eggs” to your
basket. You can also add an Easter marshmallow treat such as a bunny or
a chick if you like. Grab a spoon and enjoy! |
